Back into swing of things

I've struggled getting into the school mode this week, but am slowly getting there. I haven't touched my brochure since we went on break, but started working on the "red pen" adjustments this week. That project takes so much time even just to change one simple thing. If you you move one item the whole design is thrown off! Talk about being a pain. So that is what I have been battling all week. Today, I think I may become closer to an "ok" than before, but I'm sure I have a lot of corrections to do still. I just took a small baby step forward. I redesign the cover and back of the brochure to simplify the look of it all and make it more visually appealing. I simply used a photo and turned it black and white and then used a flamboyant color in the background to contrast with the photo and catch the viewers eye.
As for the chili posters and stuff, I have barely touched a finger on it. I took the time tonight to do some more research for ideas, and then drew up some quick sketches. I'm still not sure if I want to go with a humorous design or a more classy one. I feel the product isn't very classy, but I have some ideas if I do go in that direction.
And for the Ramon noodle newspaper article...it's hard telling when I'll get around to that :)
