Jazz Combo Poster

I really enjoyed making my jazz poster, because I was able to add a color plus I enjoy jazz and the style of jazz. I decided to use a guy that appeared relaxed while he was playing his trumpet, because I feel jazz isn't a classy thing, but a genre in history that is known as a southern music which is relaxing and fun. There are classy forms of jazz, but when I think jazz I think along the lines of the blues and just a very relaxed environment.

2nd Poster Animation

So,  my first animation was a  huge struggle for me, but the second one I chose to simplify in order to not run into as many problems. I feel I should have started my first one a little more simplified so that I could have learned how to animate better. I feel my second animation is less complex, but it doesn't have as many problems as my first one. Such as the first one dancing around all over the page. I'm much more satisfied with my second animation, because I didn't run into a problem that I couldn't fix!

Newsletter

So, I began my newsletter and started out making the margins smaller, just to make sure I'd be able to see what everything looked like when spread on the page. After fitting everything on the page, I realized that it should probably be spread out more and that the margins should probably stay the same, because everything shifted dramatically throwing off the whole layout. Considering the inside is so crammed with information I decided to keep the back of the layout simple that way the reader is able to see the contact information without having to search all throughout the paper for it. I can most certainly say that this project is more challenging than what I'd thought.

Animation

The animation project is something completely new to me and that I never knew even existed. Still not sure if I like it, because it is difficult to get things to go the way you want them. More or less its just very time consuming to get it the way you want.

On the other hand, the posters are a challenge to try to be unique, considering there is only so many things you can do being so limited and working with only typography. I enjoy having limits though, because I can come up with ideas somewhat quicker, but I also like to use more photoshop with the design.
